Rose and Crown
High Street near Stag Lane. Under new management. Decent beer, pleasent atmosphere. Worth trying.
The Lamb& /DT>
High St. One of the local locals pubs. Decent pub grub at lunch times, serves Tring Brewery Ridgeway Bitter and sometimes Death or Glory. Duke box, darts, small underused back garden.
The George& /DT>
High Street. Lovely Victorian pub going down hill. Public bar is a "sports bar" full of young drinkers. Lively and loud. Saloon bar more civilised. London Pride served + others.
Magoos
& DD>High Street. Expensive 30 something winebar. Good pick-up joint! Smart but no real beer and Guiness particularly expensive.
The Crown
High Street. Cheap and cheerful Weatherspoons pub. Very young crowd and bouncers on a Friday night. Generally ok every other time.
The Crystal Palace& /DT>
Canalside. Recently changed. Bars swopped over. Old saloon bar now public bar with pool, darts, widescreen TV etc. Other bar now restaurent doing ok pub food. Beer is Green King. Occasional live music, quiz nights etc.
The Goat
High Street. Big pub with decent pub grub lunchtimes and evenings. Wonderful jazz night on Thursdays, live music Sat and Sun evenings. Darts, local football team etc. Still a locals pub. Lovely garden. Unfortunately the real ale quality can let the rest down.
The Boat
Canalside. Fullers managed house. Not a locals pub anymore. Good food, canalside terrace. Beer well kept. Piped music. Families welcome during the day. Youngish crowd particuarly at weekends.
The Rising Sun
& DD>Canalside. The last local in Berko? Can be loud when sports events shown but always good natured. Pedigree and IPA. No food. Occasional cricket club BBQ's and events. Occasional morris dancing but alas no more folk music on Sundays. Attractive but small garden.
The Bull
High Street. No real ale, pub "garden" just a couple of benches at the end of the car park. A local pub serving the housing estate just up the hill.
The Old Mill
High Street. The Old Mill is now a Peaches Pub and due to reopen on March 26th - looking for great things. lately the food has improved enormously and the service less slow than it was a year ago.
